The Jacob Wismer PTO now sells gift cards as a convenience to you while at the same time fundraising for the school! Here is an example of how this works for the PTO: you buy a $10 gift card for $10. The participating store gives us a percentage of the gift card value. You get a gift card to make purchases of items you normally buy, and the Jacob Wismer PTO gets fundraising dollars.
Completed order forms will be collected each Monday, and you will receive your gift cards on the Friday of that same week.
Please make sure your 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders put their orders in the drawer marked “Scrip Orders” in the front office. Kindy and 1st grade, if you submit your orders on the due date, please submit it directly in the drawer instead of handing them to the teachers, as they may not have enough time to turn them in before pickup that day.

If 100 families at Jacob Wismer bought one $100 Fred Meyer gift card a month for 10 months of the school year, the PTO would earn $4000. Most of us buy much more than $100 in groceries a month, so if you do the math, it could really add up. Additionally, most of our gift card merchants pay us more than Fred Meyer. The best part is that it doesn’t cost you any more money than you would normally be spending.
There is no additional cost to you. A $10 gift card costs $10.
Jacob Wismer PTO orders the gift cards for you through a regional gift card provider. The participating stores donate a portion of the money spent on the gift card to the PTO. You receive the full face value of the gift card. The Jacob Wismer PTO retains the amount of the donation, anywhere from 2%-45%, as fundraising revenue.
How Do I Participate?
When a sale is announced, fill out the order form and attach a check (made out to Jacob Wismer PTO). Checks only. Sorry, no cash. Place order form and check in an envelope and send it to school with your child to give to their teacher by the advertised due date. Note the advertised directions for pick up.
