To bring art education into the classroom, with the added benefit of enhancing overall literacy.

Art Literacy volunteers undergo special training to present the year's four selected artists and corresponding art projects to students in their classroom (four times a year, plus training). The Art Literacy Committee prepares the presentations and provides comprehensive training for each project. After the students learn about an artist, they create a piece of artwork in the style of that artist.
